FC VILLA - Meet Coach Mackie

Coach Mackie began playing soccer at a very young age in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, developing a passion for the game early on. Growing up in a soccer family, he is the son and brother of Macdonald Taylor Sr. and Mackiesh Taylor-Jones, a former and current U.S. Virgin Islands national team player continuing a strong soccer legacy.

Throughout his career, Mackie has competed at the elementary to the collegiate level and represented both U.S. Virgin Islands Youth and Men National Teams, gaining valuable experience in high-level competition. In addition to his playing career, he has earned multiple (USSF) coaching licenses, allowing him to train and develop players using structured, professional methods.

Coach Mackie is dedicated to helping young athletes improve their technical skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the game in a positive and supportive environment.

Coach Deve is a senior national soccer player for the  U.S. Virgin Islands, with a lifelong dedication to the sport. Born and raised in St. Lucia, he represented his home country in the Windward Islands Games during his high school years.

After relocating to St. Croix, Coach Deve continued to pursue his passion for soccer, playing for the national team from 2012 to 2024. His commitment to the game extends beyond playing—he is deeply driven to teach, guide, and inspire the next generation, helping young athletes develop both their skills and a genuine love for soccer.

In St. Croix, his club career began with Skills FC, after which he spent six years playing for Rovers. He currently plays for New Vibes, where he has been a key team member for the past two years.

At this stage in his career, Coach Deve is focused on dedicating more time to coaching and training players, sharing his knowledge, experience, and passion to positively impact the future of the sport.
